Chef Logan Sandoval came up through Providence, Hyatt kitchens and Michelin-star stages from California to Chicago. During Cubs games, he started selling pit-smoked meats with Hispanic, Middle Eastern and Pacific Island flare from his Ravenswood backyard.

When the pandemic brought him home to Simi Valley, ZEF BBQ became his manifesto: the culture, the cooking and—most importantly—the people.
